Colleges and Universities

There are many colleges and universities with biotech and bioinformatics departments that offer full degree programs in bioinformatics. Below are a few links to some of them.




Virginia Tech's Fralin Biotech Center offers graduate, undergraduate, and pre-college education in biotechnology. Its course offers internship opportunities and research.


NCSU offers many courses in bioinformatics and related fields. It also has the Bioinformatics Research Center, which studies genomic data related to agriculture, forestry, and veterinary medicine.


Boston University offers a graduate program with training, internships, and classes in bioinformatics. It also offers research experiences and workshops for undergraduates.


The University of Illinois offers a graduate program and an undergraduate program as well as an introductory course. There are research opportunities for undergraduates and graduates.
