Below you will find an example of a plant research project that used ImageJ to collect data. This project will show you how ImageJ can be utilized in real botany science situations.
We used the angle tool to measure the angle between the plant roots.
To do this:
First, select the angle tool from the toolbar.
Next, you click on one ray of the angle. In this example, it was the plant root.
Then you click on the vertex of the angle, which is the intersection of the two roots.
Click on the other ray of the angle to complete the outline.
Go to analyze and then measure to bring up the results window. This window will tell you the angle between the plant roots.
