It introduces algorithm and problem solving methods, emphasizes structured programming concepts, elementary data structures and the study and use of a high level programming language; C#. The course includes a 3 hour lab each week. Upon successful completion of the course, students earn 4 credit hours per semester from the Central Virginia Community College.

CSC 202 is designed to teach object oriented programming techniques using C#. The course examines data structures and algorithm analysis. It covers data structures (including sets, strings, stacks, queues, arrays, records, files, linked lists, and trees), abstract data types, algorithm analysis (including searching and sorting methods), and file structures. The course includes a 3 hour lab each week. Upon successful completion of the course, students earn 4 credit hours per semester from the Central Virginia Community College. Prerequisite CSC 201.
