Course objectives: 

  1. You should learn the computational techniques of Vector (Multivariable) Calculus and their geometric meanings.  This interplay between computations and geometry is extremely important and will be emphasized throughout the course.
  2. You should learn how to use these computational techniques to solve applied problems (often guided by geometric insight).
  3. You should develop an understanding of the theory of Vector Calculus.  The more you understand this theoretical structure, the clearer the overall picture of Vector Calculus will be.
