Will  and  Mike's  Micro  Tips

By following these basic micro tips, you will have a very productive, rewarding, and safe "microbiological" experience!

Before each and every micro session, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water and put on a lab coat.

Sterilize your work area with lysol both before and after working with bacteria or any chemicals.

Label all bottles of chemicals, etc. that you use in the lab.  These labels should include your name, the date, and the contents of the bottle.  Similarly, all bacteria plates should be labeled arround the edges with your name, date, bacteria strain, and any solution / chemical (with concentration) you have added to the bacteria.
