In this activity, you will generate a bar graph for the the mean time it took to complete a pencil and paper maze while the subject wore either a scented mask or an unscented mask. The research was conducted by the Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation to determine if a student would perform better if he were enveloped by pleasant smells during his work. The scented mask was filled with a floral potpourri and the unscented mask contained no artificial smells. Twenty-one subjects were then asked to complete a pencil and paper maze wearing both the scented and unscented masks three times. The data recorded documented the time it took to complete the maze for each of the 21 subjects for three trials each. If you have not calculated the mean, median and mode for the data set, do that first so you will have the statistics you need to answer the questions below. Using Excel or TI-83, generate a bar graph of the mean time it took to complete the maze for both the scented and unscented masks in the first trial. This data exists in three files; one is in Excel Data format, one is in Text format, and one is in TI-83 Group format.
