The funds you donate to the Foundation remain in the endowment and benefit students year after year.

Multi-Year Pledge Campaign

CVGS Donor Recognition WallThe Central Virginia Governor's School for Science and Technology (CVGS) Foundation reached the end of the first two years of its five year pledge campaign on December 31, 2016! In the fall of 2016 we moved into our new facility, and the Foundation's Donor Recognition Wall is installed and looking great! In fact, there are now no $1,000 or $10,000 pledge blocks available, and only two $5,000 pledge blocks remain. However, several blocks at the other donation levels can still be pledged, and we are hoping to have all our graduating classes reach individual totals of $1,000 so they can be recognized on the wall as well (current totals for graduating classes can be found below). Thanks to the generous support of business partners and supportive CVGS families, as of June, 2016, the value of the CVGS Foundation endowment was $642,938.83! It is clear that with continuing strong support, we will reach our goal of having $1,000,000 in the endowment by 2020. A one million dollar endowment can provide $50,000 in "margin of excellence" program funding each year, which will help to ensure that future classes of CVGS students will be able to benefit from the wonderful research and technology opportunities, as well as student recognition and scholarship programs, that the Foundation provides.

More details about the Foundation's 5-year Campain are available on the paper pledge form. We hope that you will consider making a pledge to this important effort and leaving a lasting impression on the new Governor’s School for decades to come!

As part of the campaign, we have ordered a $1,000 block for each Governor's School graduation class. The current donation totals for recognition for specific graduating class years can be found below. We are encouraging all CVGS alumni, and their families, to make a donation so that every class can be recognized. All it takes is for 50 graduating seniors to each donate $20, and their class will assume its place on the wall. As you can see below, several classes are already on their way, and two have met or exceeded their goals already!
