New Student Orientation 2012

We are looking forward to welcoming our new junior students at our New Student Orientation 2012!  We will meet from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day on Monday, June 11, Tuesday, June 12, Wednesday, June 13, and at the end of the summer on Friday, August 10. These orientation days are very important, as students will come to know the facility, the staff, each other, and a great deal about research!  If a student must miss even a portion of a day for any reason, he or she must contact Dr. Smith as soon as possible.

On Monday and Tuesday, students will be at the Governor's School all day, and they should bring their lunches; lemonade and water will be provided.  On Wednesday, students will be at the Center for Advanced Engineering and Research (CAER) all day, and pizza and drinks will be provided.  Students who have food allergies or prefer not to have pizza should pack their lunches for Wednesday as well.  Information about the CAER, as well as directions and maps, can be found on their website at http://www.region2000.org/maps-directions.html We are looking forward to meeting our students and having our best New Student Orientation yet!  If you have any questions or concerns, please call Dr. Smith at 477-5980.
