Current Students

The juniors and seniors at the Central Virginia Governor's School for Science and Technology are certainly some of the best and brightest students in the region! Our students are selected from our five participating school divisions, and they come to us from eleven different high schools. Among our students, all of whom are outstanding scholars, we also have accomplished athletes, musicians, artists, thespians and techies, student leaders, scouts, community volunteers, and much more! While attending the Governor's School obviously takes time and dedication, well organized students are able to balance their academic demands both at CVGS and at their base schools and also participate in other activities and interests they enjoy!

Faculty Recommendations & Coursework Verification Requests

Forms are available to request faculty recommendations or CVGS coursework verification forms. While all CVGS courses are included on the official transcript from a student's base school,  the CVGS coursework verification form can be useful when applying for admission to competitive colleges and universities. This form not only includes an official record of the student's coursework and grades from CVGS, but it also includes a description of the CVGS program and information about each specific course. Additional information on the faculty recommendation and coursework verification form request processes can be found in the Student Handbook.

Schedules for Students

Student schedules for the fall are available to students through their student portal mid-June.
