Each guitar took approximately 20 hours of labor to complete.

A stunning blend of wood, glass, and tile
This beautiful CVGS-themed cabinet is the product of the joint efforts of local woodworker Des Black and CVGS parent Janet Chalker. The barrel, soaked in the Kentucky tradition, was carefully disassembled, sanded, cleaned, and painted before being fitted with a custom back panel and shelves. The tile-and-glass mosaic, which features the classic CVGS blocks logo, includes materials sourced from as far afield as the Netherlands.
Double doors made from existing staves to maintain the authentic look of the barrel, ensuring the final piece would be both fashionable and functional.
Janet Chalker has been working with stained glass and mosaic work for more than 20 years.
When asked how many hours were required to complete the tiling, Janet's response was: “A lot…but counting hours takes away from the fun of creating.”
